Slowing down is hard for me but ohhh so necessary. Our bodies do a surprisingly good job at keeping us in check, but whether or not we listen is a whole nother cup of tea...🤷🏼♀️ Appreciating my health, not taking it for granted, and getting some extra TLC this week cause #healthiswealth baby🙃 Sometimes it takes being knocked off your feet for a week to be reminded of that.

“Life is a gift, and it offers us the privilege, opportunity, and responsibility to give something back by becoming more.” -@tonyrobbins. This perfectly encapsulates why I decided to trade in my business suit for Nikes years ago. My goal for doing a 180° career change was to inspire and help others evolve into better versions of themselves, each and every day. And now I take another BIG step on this amazing journey called life. I’m so excited to finally be able to announce that I am joining @GRITBXNG as a Founding Trainer. GRIT is an experience like no other, one that is sure to disrupt the fitness industry. Boxing. Running. Strength training. All under one roof. I’m so excited to dive in head first into this amazing opportunity and I cannot WAIT for this team and I to share the GRIT experience with you all. You’ve never seen anything like this. Stay tuned for details and my new schedule! 👊🏽⚡️🍾😉🥊
Well that was quick....24kg Bent Press PR today!!
I just posted yesterday about my journey to the 24kg Bent Press...little did I know it was only going to take 24 hours!
I took time and studied the technique, practiced with light weight ...16kg..18kg..20kg...and with the eye of @peelfit, her and I both felt confident in this press.
With that said, I am still going to take you through this 24hour journey 😭, but wanted to share the fun news! This just means 28kg and 32kg are next.
Life is short and time burns up fast. I doubt you will regret missing what Karen posted on instagram or scrolling through Netflix for 20 minutes just to land on watching more reruns of “The Office”.
However, you will regret not exercising and the difficulty you have getting around and doing the things you love as you get older. Movement isn’t important until you can’t. Strength isn’t important until you need it and don’t have it. If you complain about needing to workout but not ever having the time and you spend hours entertaining yourself behind a screen. It’s not time that is the issue.
