I loved 💞 my time in Philly, and I was also able to grab a graphic novel I left at my cousins 😆 It was Hellboy: Seed of Destruction (Omnibus Vol 1) by Mike Mignola! I’ve always been an unfortunate snob when it comes to preferring 1980s and 1990s “classically” drawn comics like Jim Lee or Chris Bachalo, so I used to shy away from raw and unique talents. ✒️ However, diving head first into Mignola’s gritty supernatural and paranormal world full of European mythology, old gods, amphibious intellects, evil Nazis and unchecked pyrokinetics, I was more than satiated. 🤤 I 100% recommend Hellboy. Action page splashes had me excitedly moving too fast through the panels so much so that I had to slow down or reread to fully appreciate the art. You’ll want to do the same because the artwork is incredibly beautiful and dynamic. 🏞 In the end, this is just a fun supernatural detective story. 🔍

P.S. So my first intro to Hellboy was the old movie. I was like, “eh” but this is like WOW. Any news on the latest one?
