I get messages ALL the time asking about fat loss. “I’ve been trying to lose weight and it’s not working, what do I do?”
I can’t give you a perfect answer if I don’t know exactly what your diet & workout regimen looks like. So, to try to make some progress on your own, I suggest asking yourself these questions first. Not everyone can hire a coach, but you can take matters into your own hands.
Do you think about what you’re eating before you eat it and ask yourself is this nutritional & balanced, is this going to fuel my body? Or at the end of the day do you think about what you ate after the fact? Or do you not think about what you ate at all? Hopefully it’s the first one. Once you get in the habit of asking yourself this, it will become part of your lifestyle. Check yourself before you wreck yourself... know what I’m sayin.
Are you just eating intuitively and don’t know exactly what’s in the foods you eat? The next time you go somewhere and order a giant salad with tortilla strips, nuts and nummy dressing that looks so healthy, maybe look up the calorie & macro facts. Lots more than you would think! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Now I’m not saying you can’t lose weight without tracking your food, you DEFINITELY can, in fact I encourage intuitive eating first, then if that’s not working for you I suggest tracking your macros. But you need to know what you’re eating if you are serious about losing weight. Take that extra step and look up the nutrition facts in your foods. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you’re not sure what your calories and macros should look like, there are a lot of reputable macro calculators online. Use that as a guide, take a look at what you’re typically eating & make adjustments.
