🌓🌒🌑(swipe for video) Every night between 3-4am last week I went out to try and line up the moon rising with DTLA, luckily 3 of those days clouds didn't completely block it and I caught a glimpse. First is a 20.6% moon followed by a 38.1%, and finally a 48% illuminated moon.
Recently I went whale watching with @NatGeo for the launch of their new series Hostile Planet. I have not been Whale watching before and wanted to share some tips I picked up along the way #ad#HostilePlanet
A 6% crescent moon set taken from 21.5 miles outside downtown Los Angeles. Last week after tons of rain cleared out the thick LA atmosphere out for maximum visability this impossible shot became a possibility. Over the past couple years I had tried capturing a similar shot over a dozen times before with no luck, making this moment even more special. The first timelapse may look like it is wide angle but it's actually a 70mm telephoto shot and the last lapse is a cropped 560mm shot.
