Nearly two months ago I got a call that completely changed my life. My mom told me my dad passed away completely unexpectedly. It broke the hearts of our family, tore a hole in my life and changed the way I saw the world as a whole. I left social media and focused on my family. I realized i had been focusing on the little things that don’t matter in the big scheme of life. Through all of this the one person who has been the rock though days both good as the can be and unbearable is my mom. She lost the love of her life of 32 years and still supported both me and my brother. We got tattoos together. She helped me get my dads handwriting on me in what he always called me, his “baby girl” and my mom got a symbol for something he always told us — “one foot in front of the other.” This #mothersday hug your loved ones a little tighter, listen a little longer, and be in the moment. Thankful for the support and love over the last few weeks ❤️

It’s not perfect but it’s progress 💪🏼. Over the last few weeks I tried an app called 8fit. It wasn’t restrictive but fulfilling. This was one diet and exercise trial where I actually felt good doing it and would continue. Sure there were slip ups and wine nights 🙃 but I saw progress and progress takes time. — whole grain 100 calorie English muffin
— 4 oz. bison or lean meat
— 1/4 avocado mashed — slice of yellow onion
— handful of arugula or other leafy green — preferred spices
— for the “fries” slice up 1/4 a potato and brush with olive oil. Throw them in the oven at 400 until browned

1 slice of WHOLE grain bread (one without added sugar), spread on one layer of mashed #avocado (about 1/2 an avo), too with arugula, sliced cucumber, and one sunny side up egg (can substitute chicken or tofu)
The first episode of Spongebob came out in 1999. I was 6 and it formed my humor to the point where I still quote episodes on a daily basis. t was even one of my ~things~ at BuzzFeed. Spongebob Squarepants was a huge part of our generation growing up and the person behind all of that was the brilliant mind of #stephenhillenburg . ALS took another gifted human too soon.
