Oddities one finds when cleaning out ones office.... (Plans for the #faceoff / #hairspray crossover movie the world was screaming for were sadly scrapped....) But who other then me is desperate to see.....
In 1990, I won the dancers golden ticket and got to dance on the Academy Awards (I was a very gymnastic pirate in Under The Sea, and Baron Munchausen in the costume number!). 20 years later I became the youngest Oscar producer and first producer/choreographer in history, and I will never know how something I couldn’t have even dreamed big enough to happen, happened. This picture was taken on my proudest night, when the next greatest thing happened: #katherinebigelow became the first woman to win best director for her incredible movie, #thehurtlocker. I was the first to hug and congratulate her and I still get teary thinking about it.
Good luck to all the nominees and I am just so damn proud to be a part of this magical history. Xo
Farewell to an artist who helped those of us who were drawn to his grace, and those who’s lives he touched by his genius who never knew his name, see endless beauty, wonder and magic in the world. The word “Chic” is somewhere poised on a gold leaf George V chair, clad in beautifully tailored black, weeping appropriately before gathering her friends. “Fabulous” and “Magnificent” and throwing a gorgeous celebration in tribute to her maker: #karllagerfeld#ripkarllagerfeld
