What I consider when choosing a technique....
2️⃣ How light 💡is the desired result
3️⃣ Dimensional or high contrast
4️⃣ Rooty or to the scalp
5️⃣ Least possible room for error..
The lightener does not have a brain 🧠 so it can only do what you allow it to do. It does not break the hair off and it does lift 💪🏼💪🏼. It’s up to you to manipulate the products into what you need. By @lisalovesbalayage#wowcomb 😍😍😍
(Toning)- something I have had to learn the hard way is that when you are toning you must know 3 essential things, the level you have lifted to, the underlining pigment at each level, and your complimentary colors!! You will never achieve the perfect tone if you try to tone lighter than what you have lifted to! It's a challenge 👊🏻 but with lots of practice, my handy color wheel, and of course my @wowcomb I'm achieving beautiful tones one head of hair at a time!! By @coloredbymk1#wowcomb 😍😍😍
I just recently started using @joico lumishines to tone and I must say... they are AMAaahhZING! I used 6na on my roots to ensure there wasn’t too much warmth and smudged it with 9wb and a drop of 9v on the ends. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And I almost forgot about my little friend the @wowcomb 😍. Such a great tool for doing a “reverse balayage” or color melt! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
