Can’t think of what to buy your old uncle Bob or aunty Betty for Christmas? Don't despair.. there's @thekickstartproject. My sweet friend Esther was just 19 years old when she started this sponsorship program. I'm so proud of and inspired by her!! Make a make Christmas donation on behalf of a family member or even sponsor a child… 🎄🌍🎄@thekickstartproject is about providing education scholarships at good schools for bright children from slums in Kenya.
For my 18th birthday my mum gave me one of her favorite books, Women Who Run With The Wolves, by Clarissa Pinkola Estes. It's a collection of ancient myths, woven with hidden messages and powerful symbolism. When I open this book I feel like I'm falling into another time, sifting through gold.
Certain stories are poignant at certain times. It's been a bit like a bible for me and many of my friends. I'm forever in awe of how myths from hundreds of years ago are still relevant today, how archetypal wisdom twinkles through, alive like spirit. ✨ Loved our post blessingway wolf chats @thechrystaldawn & @humanushabilitation#womenwhorunwiththewolves#ClarissaPinkolaEstes#medicinestories
We have calcium in our bones, iron in our veins, carbon in our souls, and nitrogen in our brains. 93 percent stardust, with souls made of flames, we are all just stars that have people names. - Nikita Gill
The fierce sea-sliding feminist. @theseakin how you inspire us with your oceanic heart, vast kindness and humility... You are truly one of a kind. Listening with vulnerability and wisdom, always asking the bigger questions, weaving integrity into even the little things. We celebrate you on your journey into motherhood, with petals, shells and ochre blessings and love from all the sisters... ✨💕🐬👑 Thank you @tiff__richmond and @rosierosematheson for holding this magical blessingway 🌻🍂
I sprained my ankle this week, running into sparkling blues to see these two @theseakin@zoegameau 🐚🐋 Thank you Zo, for your healing hands and making a little sand protector for me ☺️ Over the years, if I hurt myself or come down with a flu/disease, I'd habitually check in with the book The Secret Language Of Your Body by Inna Segal. It helps me clarify messages my body is trying to tell me. I like reading between the lines, sifting to intuit what's most relevant, but I find the translations to be bang on and helpful every time. (I highly recommend it, it's a bit magic ✨) It's funny how we can feel guilty when we slow down, and when we do less... It's also funny how we can't be of much benefit or help to others or our planet, if we are exhausted and running on empty... Replenishment, rest, nourishment and leisure are gold, and also wise.
