Even after they had taken her wings she still found a way to fly... 🦋
I love this photo but I can’t stop looking at my poorly pointed foot. As a trained dancer and former gymnast I will forever be haunted by that not fully pointed foot...and the claw hand but that’s because I was tossing my gown so I can live with that.
And yes a very tiny leap. It was incredibly wet and slippery(rain room)and I had already taken a tumble earlier doing some martial arts stuff.
This is the real glamour behind these ‘magical’ photos lol. Trying not to die in shoots.
But ignore all that....only see my majestic fairy self! 😂
I forgot to share a back view of the wings I made using @fireflypath 's tutorial that I purchased on Etsy! It was so worth every penny. I designed the pattern of the wings. She provided step by step instructions on how to construct the wings and it was super easy to follow! Making them took a lot of work, but it was so much fun and worth it. I would recommend that pattern if you are looking to make your own unique wings <3 📸:@yorkinabox#fireflypath#fairy#fairywings#mythical#fantasy#faire
I wanted to address something (if you sew) have undoubtably encountered. The translation from 2D to 3D. Sometimes 2D does not translate to our 3D world beautifully, so it’s up to us to make that transition work! My suggestion is to drape and pin all the possibilities. I photograph each versions and check to see what looks best in camera. Don’t be afraid to play with new arrangements! As you can see I went through a lot of version of my Koi Fish Princess for @rachelandjun before I landed on something I was crazy about! .
#PrideMonth is halfway over so I’m throwing it back to a shot from my #HauntMe music video. When I wrote the song, I already had all the visuals in mind, and knew I wanted to portray a witchy love story full of drama, suspense, and feminine energy. I had made many music videos over the years, but this was my first time displaying a female romance in my art. This video was quite literally my “coming out”, as only my close friends at the time knew that I was bi/pan. I didn’t want to make a traditional “coming out” video, I wanted to kind of just drop this video with no context or explanation, to normalize the concept of non-hetero storylines in art. I couldn’t be prouder of how the video turned out and how it was my first stepping stone of releasing parts of myself to the world I’d kept hidden. If you haven’t seen the video yet, click the link in my bio for some witchy goodness!
