Show is over! Thank you @havengallery for working so hard to share my work with the world, collectors and being such a fantastic honest people to work with. After so many years in the biz, I can tell you those are not easy things to come by in a gallery. It’s exciting to paint for a gallery that believe in you so. ❤️💎🦄 beautiful photos by @tenshi.tears
I had to work really late at night for the last show in Miami. The monkey princess was sleeping next to me in the studio so I actuality painted to this light. I think it gave my work the feel of painting to candlelight like the good ol’days. I did only 4 pieces but each one took so long to finished. Naia was still not sleeping full nights (now she does😒. A month after I finished) and I learned I new lever of tiredness 😴 But it was the most incredible feeling to do my first paintings since she was born. I wanted and hopefully succeeded creating from the new person I become. Thank you @cole.andrew.jackson for the lovely photo!
Is this a philosophical debate? Am I not me? Who am i than? Is any of us is really real? Am I here? Am I too fake or not fake enough? Am I alive or is this the Matrix? #wtfig 🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ (guys! Should I post more duckface selfies??!)
Legion of Me. From last year’s Miami art fair. I was painting this show when I was heavily pregnant. I had the baby coming mid October so basically had to make sure to be ready much sooner than the deadline. I felt like these work were a demonstration of female power i had to pass to my daughter. It was about rebellion, pride and independence. This year I made my first show as a new mom 👵🏻 can’t wait to share
