The morning commute sunrise from the passenger window driving over the Ashley River. I’m glad my sweet girl gets me. I start babbling and getting way too excited about a sunrise that I can’t photograph because I’m driving. She picks up my phone and captures it for me.
You obviously love Charleston if you follow me, and the best app for all things Charleston launched today. Go get it! @historiccharlestonfoundation put together a complete guide to Charleston, including their historic homes (which I photographed) and scenic Charleston (shot by my friend @charleston_lowcountry). I’m so excited to use it and share it with y’all!
We are starting off the weekend at the @thevictorycup on the outskirts of Charleston at @hydeparkevents. A foggy field full of horses. A pink sunrise through the live oaks. And hot air balloons going up with the sunrise. I burst with excitement over it all!
She’s asleep over her homework right now. #tbt to a September sunrise on Folly. // Pictures and more pictures so I don’t forget. Living in the moment, at least for me, means I wake up with a clean slate each day ready to write something new and wonderful. All the memories run together into a warm feeling without dates and occasions. Thank goodness I take pictures.
I thought about just letting y’all think it was fall in Charleston now. 😉 But one pile of premature leaves does not constitute fall. 🍁 It’s still over 80° tonight, a sultry humid ocean breeze, feeling just like a summer night. And there’s no school tomorrow with the storm rolling in. It really does feel like summer because I get to sleep in!
