With this wand, I hereby grant you all of your best New Years wishes! ✨
Did you make any resolutions or set any intentions? Mine is to move forward with loving action and expansion. 💫 And wands. And to continue saying hygge and ‘By these swans!’ until everyone I know has gone completely insane. 🦢🦢

This is an Ocotillo plant. The word derives both from the word for 8 (2018!) and for ‘flaming torch.’ It’s the end of 2018, so set the driftwood from your last year on fire and carry the torch of everything you love into 2019! 🎇
Happy New Year!
I love you all. (also be sure to put the driftwood fire out responsibly, don’t be a monster.)🧯
Are you all being very hygge right now? I’m all about it. I’m annoying everyone by saying it too much and it’s glorious.
Hygge (/ˈhjuːɡə/ HEW-gə or /ˈhuːɡə/ HOO-gə) is a Danish and Norwegian word for a mood of coziness and comfortable conviviality with feelings of wellness and contentment.

Merry Christmas or Day of Arborial Worship Dear Ones! 🎄 I spent the day with my brother @mosesjenkins1 🎅🏻 today at @hunkapiprograms , where they do an event every year so that kids in the foster care system have presents and a day with critters and food and activities. I did face painting on a whole bunch of wriggling little faces and brushed some horsies, it’s always the best! 🐎 You can check them out for more info if you’re interested. #horsetherapy#spiritoftheseason
‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all thro’ the house,
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse;
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there.
(Did you know that this might have been written by Clement Clarke Moore or Henry Livingston Jr in 1823, and that people get in arguments about which guy really wrote it? If you’re in an argument with someone right now try to work this into it!)

On this #nationaldayofthehorse , I encourage you to check out @hunkapiprograms ! 🐎 #horsetherapy is a beautiful thing!Their myriad hands-on, experiential programs include: Equine Assisted Psychotherapy, Therapeutic Riding, Counseling and Life Skills, and Addiction/Recovery groups. They and their four-legged healers help people move mindfully towards their clinical, life or leadership goals and connect to the people in their life who matter most. 🐴
Throwback to the first time I spent the weekend with my big (tiny) sister when she went off to college at the University of Michigan. She lived in a dorm with a bunch of arty weirdos, it was pretty magical. My dad took these pictures when he came to pick me up. I guess we were trying to look cool and disinterested? Dorks. #fbf
