It’s the weekend! Time to stretch out, relax and enjoy some you time. It’s also turtle season here at Bawah and lots of these beautiful marine creatures laying eggs on Turtle beach. We protect and monitor the eggs until they hatch. 📷 @samlawrencephoto
Meet Raymond Saja- our general manager. Raymond is an entrepreneurial hotelier who specialises in providing guests with exceptional and unique experiences. His extensive experience has taken him across 4 continents from the USA to Australia where he has lead projects for Leading Hotels of the World properties including the Hotel Plaza Athénée New York and Karma Kandara in Bali. Having assumed the helm in September, Raymond is already making waves at the resort with an emphasis on wellness, sustainability and eco-awareness, all perfectly balanced and intertwined with luxury, Raymond looks to indulge guests private island dreams, whilst simultaneously raising awareness and education of the sustainability initiatives in place within the islands. "In Raymond’s words “I am honoured to be a part of the Bawah Reserve family and working for this very special property, many guests have used the word “magical” to describe it here. It is the island’s purity and pristine nature that attracts our guests and they are always blown away by the kindness of our team and the resort's untouched beauty. In this shrinking world, very few places like Bawah still exist, and it is one of our main goals to conserve these islands and their surroundings. I am looking forward to build on the owner's vision, to invite people to share in the Bawah experience to continue to preserve and protect the Anambas."
Is it a painting ? Nope! Genuine photography from @thetravelnova - the blues, the browns, the greens! Intense and beautiful combination. Would you believe me if I said it actually looks even more wow when here.
Beautiful nature. Living among the tentacles of the anemone, the clown anemonefish and the anemone have a fabulous partnership. Anemones have tentacles that sting, but the clownfish isn't bothered by them. In fact, it lives among the tentacles, gaining protection from neighbouring predators who don't dare get near the stinging protector. Come and experience diving at Bawah Reserve. 📷 @samlawrencephoto@oceancollectivemedia diving courtesy of @orcascuba
