For me, The most important attribute in my success has been being realistic. It's important to be realistic about your goals and journey. Take it step by step and day by day. And whatever you do, DON'T forget to enjoy the process.
As I mentioned earlier- Inconsistencies in your calorie intake can definitely make a difference in effective weight loss. It's very easy to accidentally eat a few more ounces of carbs, protein, or fat if your meals aren't measured out with a food scale or measuring cups. Cooking and measuring too much of an inconvenience? I highly recommend hiring a food prep service to cook, measure and pre-package all of your meals so you can stay on track without any guesswork! I use @paleopowermeals 💪🏼if you'd like to try, I have a coupon code: Ashkfit25 if you would like to save a few bucks too! Enter in to save 25% on your first order.
A common concern, “Why aren’t I seeing results?”
Your alarm clock goes off. You run to jump on the scale, and..... WHAT!? You're the same weight as last week? But how could this be? You worked out and ate healthy yesterday. Why isn't the scale dropping? I've compiled a list of many questions you should ask yourself to get to the bottom of this 😱
. - firstly, are you getting "tighter" or "leaner" in the mirror? 🔹this should be an indication that you're building healthy lean muscle mass, and burning fat effectively. Try not to worry about the number on the scale in this case! .
. - Are you counting your calories or macros? 🔹Inconsistencies in your calorie intake can make a difference in effective weight loss. It's very easy to accidentally eat a few more calories than intended. .
. - Do you push yourself at the gym? 🔹In order for your body to change, you must challenge the system in a way that forces it to adapt to a new stress placed upon it. Don’t just go thru the motions...
. . - Are you drinking an adequate amount of water consistently? 🔹How much we drink impacts our weight since our bodies are mostly made up of water. Inconsistencies in water intake cake cause our bodies to fluctuate in weight. .
. - Do you have food allergies you're unaware of? 🔹Many people are unaware they have a food allergy to nuts, gluten, dairy, and many other foods. This can cause bloating and inflammation .
. - Are you getting enough sleep? 🔹Lack of sleep can increase our stress levels, making our bodies hold onto body fat/water.
. -What about hormones? 🔹Is it that time of month? Our hormones change day by day, especially for us women. . .
- and last but not least... the unlikely cause of slow thyroid (hypothyroidism)
🔹It’s unlikely, but still a possibility... if you’ve tried eliminating all other causes of a lack of weight loss it could be that you’re experiencing hypothyroidism (I did! 🙋🏻♀️) it’s best to get your blood work and consult with a doctor/endocrinologist for further evaluation.

How many times have you heard others tell you what you should or shouldn’t look like? Want to know what the first thought that pops in my head is when I hear someone tell me? WHO CARES‼️ YOU are in control of your body and YOU should never let the opinions of others change your mind about what you strive to look like. There is no “perfect” body out there, and there never will be. Follow YOUR dreams. Not someone else’s🚫
✨Living in a dream✨
What is happiness to me? 🔸To have little to no stress 🔸to love yourself and your life🔸to work towards your goals and dreams🔸To feel accomplished🔸To feel like you’re making a meaningful impact on the world🔸And most importantly, to have as little “woulda, coulda, shouldas” as possible🙏🏻 .
What is your definition of happiness?

I do NOT workout everyday. I always make sure I have one day to “rest” so that my body can heal and recover from a weeks worth of intense workouts. However, I rarely spend the entire day on the couch watching Netflix. I like to be active even on my rest days. It’s just who I am! Gotta go, go, go!! Hehe 😉 So instead of wasting a day being stagnant and unproductive, I usually engage in active recovery. Active recovery would be considered to be a much easier workout compared to my normal routine. Generally, an active recovery workout is less intense and has less volume. For example, you could do active recovery by taking a brisk walk, hike, biking through the neighborhood or ever swim on your off day. My diet and supplementation remains similar to any other day... I still have at least one @hitechpharma “Precision Protein” shake throughout the day. However, I will more than likely skip my preworkout on this active rest day.
