The fitness journey is difficult because every day, we are constantly faced with comparing ourselves to our best self. On every step of the journey, you must wake up and say, "I love my body, I love who I am, and I'm getting better every day!" If you stay focused on your specific goal, you'll naturally find a way to overcome those little obstacles along the way until you've reached it! Trust yourself, and don't get down in yourself if you have an off day. .
Some of my newer followers may not know this, but only a few years back I traveled the world giving competition/posing seminars or even competing. I had such a great time seeing new places, meeting new people and I gained a LOT of knowledge & independence from traveling on my own. During this time I would basically live out of my suitcase, oftentimes I would visit 4 different countries in a month! 😱 Some of these locations would require me to have a translator when I spoke, which was kinda cool to me 😎 Some of the amazing places that I visited (outside of USA) are : South Korea, Italy, Spain, UK, India, Germany, Canada, Costa Rica, Australia, New Zealand, Finland, Brazil, Russia, Mexico...and I know I’m missing some 😅 the #ifbbproleague has given me some GREAT opportunities!! I am forever grateful 🙏🏻 Anyhow, I’m really excited to get back in the swing of things with the help of @teamelitephysique 💪🏼 In fact, I’ll be heading to Colorado on Friday to help #teamelitephysique with a #NPC bikini posing seminar... I’m very excited!! .
Thank goodness we live in a time where vitamins/supplements are in easy access to us. Although we may have a perfect diet, it’s likely that we are missing one thing or another. Sometimes these deficiencies go unnoticed for quite some time. I’ll be honest, a while back, I got kinda lazy with taking my vitamins for a while and I assumed that my nutritious diet was enough. I figured that the vitamins were kinda a waste of time. I was so WRONG. After a while I started experiencing symptoms such as brittle nails, hair loss and I got cold very easily. I went to my doctor to get this checked & got a blood work scan. It turns out that I was anemic, which means I had very low blood iron. This was definitely a surprise to me! Thankfully, Anemia is easy to treat... I just needed to take a small iron supplement along with my daily multivitamin & after about a month I was back to normal. While this isn’t the case for everyone who isn’t taking vitamins, but truthfully some of us are more susceptible to a deficiency, we are all different with different genetics. So moral or the story is, take your vitamins kids!! 😝 I get my vitamins & supplements from @hitechpharma - they have a wide variety for men & women. Have a happy healthy day! 💪🏼
Sometimes when we workout our energy levels are less than ideal. We don’t always have the stamina to hit the weights for an extended period of time 😅 this is all too common. .
On days I feel “meh” I like listen to my favorite hype music and take an extra scoop of my @hitechpharma “Off the Chain”. It has BCAAs & added caffeine to keep me going strong during my workout 💪🏼 I will admit, sometimes when I need a little energy boost I’ll have a scoop throughout the day for a mid day pick me up instead of coffee 😸
